Sony Pictures’ employee-led Greener World Group encourages the entire studio to take part in building a brighter future—for our company, for our communities and for the world.

We commit to uphold Sony’s Sustainability Mission and, further, to collaborate for the common goals of increased awareness, sustainable corporate initiatives, and employee engagement by encouraging individual and community participation, sharing ecological solutions, offering educational opportunities, promoting innovation, and modeling sustainable practices.

The employee-based Greener World Group upholds its mission statement with a leadership board and almost 650 members committed to promoting all things sustainable at Sony Pictures. Among the many efforts of this dedicated group, a favorite is the Green Thumb Garden Club, which maintains two community-style gardens, one on the Studio Lot and one at the Imageworks campus in Culver City, CA.

Earth Day Extravaganza is a highly anticipated annual event at Sony Pictures Studio Lot. Hosting a collection of eco-vendors, service providers and non-profits, this event include environmentally friendly entertainment, environmental education and activity sign-up opportunities as well as organic and local food trucks for nearly 1,000 employees.
